Dr. Cannon opened the first City Veterinary Center in 1999 with the goal of bringing top quality and compassionate veterinary care to downtown Dallas. Dr. Cannon’s practice success has led him in pursuit of expanding his model for compassionate, progressive and affordable veterinary care for all. And, Dr. Cannon’s vision for providing complete pet care includes offering the best nutrition information and the healthiest foods, highest quality pet products, progressive and complete medical care and innovative ancillary services such as boarding and daycare. Dr. Cannon is a native Texan and was raised in the Dallas area. He attended Texas A&M where he received a Biomedical Science degree and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, graduating in the top of his class. While his formal education may be over, his research and quest for the most current, state-of-the-art veterinary care and ways to deliver it continues. The same can be said for all of the associates and partnering veterinarians at the City Vet Centers.

All City Vet doctors exceed the profession’s continuing education requirements and are committed to progressive, ethical and nurturing veterinary care. They are highly skilled in all areas of diagnosis, treatment, assessment, surgery and disease management. Clinics have in-house laboratory services and state-of-the art hospital and surgical suites. In addition, all staff members regularly attend training to complete the circle of excellence in animal care.

The practice’s collective focus on service and convenience includes extended hours, convenient morning and afternoon appointments, and drop-off day appointments.
