Dr. Chip Cannon, DVM
CEO City Pet Companies
Dr. Cannon opened City Veterinary Center Oak Lawn in 1999 with the goal of bringing top quality veterinary care to downtown Dallas and helping our city’s rescue groups provide care for homeless and unwanted animals. A second City Vet location on McKinney Avenue was added in 2002 and secured City Vet’s dominant market presence. The practice grew quickly, adding an innovative boarding, spa and dog daycare facility known as The Dog Lofts. Even though Dr. Cannon spends less time practicing and more time managing, the businesses continue to grow under his energy and direction. He and his wife Leah have three daughters, Audrey, Claire and Hope, and one dog, Coconut.
